Research Interests

Dr. Yohannes received her Ph.D. in Chemistry and is currently the leader of the 2D-Differential In-gel Gel Electrophoresis (DIGE) group in the Center for Proteomics and Bioinformatics. Her research interests focus on harnessing high throughput proteomics technologies for profiling tissue, cellular and body fluids proteome, with the goal of identifying the changes in expression that occur as a result of a specific physiological, biological or disease state and how these changes in proteome expression mediate the complex dynamic system of proteomic interactions that cause these systems to fail leading to a diseased state.
