Glycolpeptide Mass Spectrometry Analysis

Advantages

  • Map glycopeptides, not glycans which enables site specific localization of modication
  • High-throughput analysis
  • High-sensitivity

Disadvantages

  • Requires more protein than immunoblot detection
  • Preferential enrichment of peptides resulting from high abundant proteins.
  • Time consuming data analysis
